TTS: Ten True Statements

In order to be creative, do you need a messy desk? A clean one? Or one with a dog under it?

Like the Mathematics of Joy, this exercise could be this short:

  1. Write down ten statements that are currently true about creativity.

  2. These statements can be anything: “My grandmother was so creative,” “I need a messy/clean desk in order to be creative,” “I like the color yellow.” Anything.

  3. They can be about your creativity, creativity in general, creative thinking. Seriously; anything.

Done!

More info, please?

No.

I mean, I debated whether or not I wanted to say more here, but I kinda don’t. I offer guidelines and some background on the Mathematics of Joy, but I feel like Ten True Statements is pretty self-explanatory.

What I will say is that you literally can’t be wrong here. If you list the first ten words in the dictionary, great. It’s not exactly the assignment, but if that’s where you are, then that’s where you are.

But I will write another blog post next month, if you want to know why I assign this exercise so often. But you have to do your TTS first!
